Marketing and Social Media Coordinator

If you have a passion for learning business from an experienced lender and business owner this position is for you. In addition to fulfilling a responsibility, there are many benefits of an internship; primarily, networking with professionals in the field. 

 

This is a part-time marketing Internship (with paid option depending on performance) focusing on communicating promotions and information to current customers, with additional focus on new lead & demand generation.

 

Main responsibilities include:

  • Manage vendor provided marketing portals and content

  • Maintain mailing list, create campaigns and track results (Mailchimp)

  • Sync communications with social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube)

  • Track lead and demand generation

  • Improve company website content and SEO

  • Create co-branded collateral -hard copy, online, video

  • Assist in organizing and promoting company events

 

 

This position would develop this part of the organization, with the potential to become a long term and or full-time position depending on results and fit.

 

Education and skills required:

  • Coursework and project experience in marketing

  • Web design/development in WordPress

  • Knowledge of SEO

  • Proficiency in MS Office

  • Experience in email marketing through sties like Constant Contact, Mailchimp, etc.

    Intern

    Nicole Apai is currently a sophomore at Christopher Newport University where she intends to further her education in business. She is enrolled in the Presidential Leadership Program where she will minor in leadership studies. On campus, she in on the varsity softball team. Nicole wishes to gain experience in the business field while also applying her leadership skills throughout this position to further her in the career of her choice following graduation. She graduated from Hopewell Valley Central High School, located in Pennington, New Jersey, as a member of the National Honors Society and the German National Honors Society as well as a three sport varsity athlete in softball, girls soccer and girls basketball. She is looking to gain connections in the business community as well as enhance her leadership and business skills. She chose RWCA due to the ability to help women in the community enhance their individual skill sets and contribute to benefiting the community.
